EXPERT TESTIMONY 1 -DRUG LABS/ARSON: This workshop will describe all types of testimony related to Drug Labs and how they are set up, how the drug is prepared, etc.. The presenter will also describe Hazardous Materials calls and what they entail.
EXPERT TESTIMONY 2: This workshop will focus on the First Responders' Testimony regarding the protocol procedures when the Fire Fighter/EMT or Paramedic's arrive at the scene of a medical call, shooting, assault, etc.. There will be a step by step description along with a lot of Medical Vocabulary and Jargon. **
EXPERT TESTIMONY 3: The presenter will describe Arson's that are committed from something as simple as burning trash, etc.. to causing catastrophic wildland fireS.
EXPERT TESTIMONY 4 - WILDLAND/STRUCTURAL FIRES: This workshop will describe wildland fire behavior describing factors such as vegetation, topography, etc. The speaker will describe structure fires and how they behave.
****The Expert Testimony classes will be taught by Gregory Birchfield, Cal-Fire Captain, EMT, Hazardous Materials Specialist and prior member of the USAR-Urban Search and Rescue Team.
Standards and Protocol: This very informative workshop will explain the do's and don't while interpreting in the private sector and in the courts. This class will help you sift your way through the scenarios that may present themselves and how to handle them. We will also be discussing new additions to interpreting such as AI and Video Remote Interpreting.
CHILD DEPENDENCY/JUVENILE CRIMES: This workshop will guide you from the beginning to the end of the Child Dependency cases. The vocabulary used and the legal process.
The Juvenile Delinquency court and the types of crimes that are committed. The legal process and the vocabulary that you will encounter along the way.
AUTOMOTIVE EXPERT: The presenter will describe different types of Auto related incidents, mainly Fraudulent accidents that are testified about in Court and in Civil Depositions. The different components and the vocabulary for the Auto, Motorcycle, Tractor/Trailer, etc. The traffic intersection, freeway, etc. and the injuries that are suffered.
CIVIL AND FAMILY LAW CASES: This workshop will cover the types of cases that interpreters most commonly cover in both the court setting as well as the private sector. The vocabulary will also be described.
